Cavendish Beach Music Festival Announces 2022 Return with Multi-Platinum Award-Winning Country Star Luke Combs

TORONTO, ON – Today, the Cavendish Beach Music Festival, presented by Bell, is excited to announce the 2022 return of the festival with multi-platinum, award-winning country star Luke Combs as the first headliner announced.

Atlantic Canada’s largest multi-day outdoor music festival will kick off with Combs on Thursday, July 7th, and will run until Saturday, July 9th, 2022. Additional performers will be announced leading up to the festival.

"We are thrilled to be able to welcome Luke Combs, one of the world’s top country music artists to Cavendish Beach, PEI. It will be three years since the last Cavendish Beach Music Festival, and personally I’m as excited as our fans to get back to the festival grounds.  We’ve been lucky enough to have some of the best in country music at the festival over the last 10 years, and we couldn’t think of anyone better to kick off our first festival back than Luke Combs,” said Ben Murphy, CEO of Cavendish Beach Music Festival.

Named by The New York Times as “the most promising and influential new country star of the last five years," Asheville, NC, native Luke Combs is nominated in three categories at the 55th Annual CMA Awards for his platinum-certified hit song "Forever After All", adding to his five ACM, three CMA, and three Billboard Music Award wins. "Forever After All" gained incredible success, debuting at #2 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart last November, and is Luke’s sixth consecutive #1 from the deluxe album, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get. The album debuted at #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart as well as Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and features all 18 tracks from Combs’ double platinum-certified, global #1 album, What You See Is What You Get, plus five new songs.

Two-time award-winner of the Canadian Country Music Association Festival / Event of the Year and nominee for the East Coast Music Association Festival / Event of the Year, Cavendish Beach Music Festival has quickly grown to become Atlantic Canada's largest multi-day outdoor music festival. Located in the picturesque coastal resort community of Cavendish, P.E.I, Cavendish is turned into the hottest, most star-studded spot in the region every July, attracting over 60,000 country music fans each year. Past festival performers have included Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Brett Eldredge, Lady Antebellum, and country legends Ricky Skaggs, Alabama, Reba, and pop sensation Shawn Mendes.
